Time for Tea
Tuesday, 10 June, 2014
Saturday saw me host a vintage tea party for a hen group in Hove, with my vintage tea party business Rose & Olive in a large, beautifully decorated house especially rented for the occasion. Afternoon tea was just what was needed for the girls who each had various degrees of hangover from their celebrations the night before. With the tea being a surprise for the bride to be Caz, she was whisked into Brighton for some shopping whilst I set to work getting everything looking lovely for when she returned.
Zesty lemon drizzle, fruity scones, chocolate brownies, a selection of sumptuous sandwiches, endless cups of tea and coos of how pretty the room looked — bride to be Caz and the girls loved it. Mrs Tea's suitcase full of vintage inspired accessories and vintage music playing from the gramophone added to the fun, with laughter and plenty of chatter filling the room.
Afternoon tea done and with cakes left over for later — the girls were all ready for their night out in Brighton Town. Whilst this group also had the traditional hen party fare of plastic willy toys and the like — there was one thing we all agreed on — whatever you do for your hen party — there's always time for tea.
