Salute to Amanda's 1940s hen party!

A couple of Saturday's ago in Manchester I hosted a glamorous Salute to the 40s hen party for the gorgeous bride to be Amanda and her hens. This had been a long time coming - as Amanda booked her bespoke 1940s hen party with us pretty much a year in advance, meaning the excitement really grew as the date drew nearer!
I transformed their apartment with union jack bunting, disguised the pool table in their room with pretty table linen and vintage china and hosted a delicious homemade vintage afternoon tea with ration book menus (provided by my other business Rose & Olive).
The sounds of Glenn Miller and Vera Lynn played from our gramophone and mini hair and make up makeovers in looks from the 40s set the scene for one fabulous afternoon. Our handmade hen accessories even made an appearance!
Later as they headed out into town dressed in all their vintage inspired finery, one things for sure Amanda (below centre in the green dress) and her girls certainly showed Manchester just how to do a hen party!
What a great bunch of girls and what gorgeous thank you flowers from Amanda!
