A while ago I asked for some suggestions for blog posts and although it has taken me a while to get around to doing it I have finally managed to pull the first one together. The first one I was asked to do was a pyjama party theme and I immediately thought this was a fab idea for a hen party, especially for you girls who are hiring cottages for a girly weekend away. So I got my little black book out and starting looking for some inspiration but I already knew where my first port of call would be, the rather fabulous Betty Blue's Loungerie. Her range of vintage inspired lounge wear is perfect for any pyjama hen party and who wouldn't want to combine being wonderfully comfortable with looking this damn hot.

So you've got your outfit sorted now what else do you need to accessorise your perfect pyjama party. Well apart from the obligatory hair rollers and DVD of Dirty Dancing here's my perfect pyjama party kit.
Of course a pyjama party is a great opportunity to give yourself a facial without a witty commentary from the man in your life. My favourites are Lush's range of Fresh Face Masks, you will always find one in my fridge just in case of skin care emergencies.
Once you've made your face smell gorgeous, you can use these pretty little candles from Not On The High Street to make your hen party the best smelling around.
I saw these slipper mules from Ruby and Ed and thought they would go rather well with Betty Blue's rather wonderful lounge wear, don't you think?
And who wouldn't want to indulge in what I like to call a proper dirty hot chocolate with lots of whipped cream, marshmallows and a dash of your favourite liquor (yum). Check out the Ruffled blog for a how to on making hot chocolate favours - these would make great gifts for hens and they are pretty inexpensive.
Finally the one thing my husband suggested when I said I was going to be doing a pyjama party post was 'don't forget about the pillow fights'! Now I know this is a cliché but we don't want to upset the boys too much and you can make yourself happy too with these super cute hen cushions from Bill and Betty.
I love the idea of having one night for your hen party as a pyjama party it's a great way to get diverse groups of people together and break the ice in a relaxed atmosphere, which can be rather daunting if you have groups of friends and relatives that have never met before. It's also a great idea for those of you looking for a much more laid back hen party. But if someone wants to stay up late watching scary movies don't come crying to me when you can't sleep.
